		The Piedmont is a "plateau region located between the Coastal Plain and the Appalachian Mountains." The Piedmont is better characterized by red clay, log curing barns, and gently rolling fields of tobacco. These are some of Piedmont North Carolina's time honored traditions. Today visitors are just as likely to see fields full of grapes, sip wine in the tasting room of a new winery, or hit golf balls on one of many area golf courses. The Piedmont is also characterized by approximately 200 days of annual sunshine, ample rainfall and a temperate climate that allows for the production of a wide range of fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products such as chicken, beef, lamb and goat meats. Drift back in time on a winding country road, enjoy beautiful scenery and return home with some goat's milk soap or cheese, a gallon of strawberries, a quart of honey, a watermelon or one of the many other agricultural products produced in our area.

Turn left at end of ramp and travel north on NC Highway 8/Germanton Road. Farm is 6 miles on right at Buffalo Creek Farm Road. From Charlotte Take I85N to Lexington. Exit US52. Go north on US52 to Exit 114. Turn left at end of ramp and travel north on NC Highway 8/Germanton Road. Farm is 6 miles on right at Buffalo Creek Farm Road. From Statesville / Hickory / Morganton / Asheville Take I40E to US52N to Exit 114. Turn left at end of ramp and travel north on NC Highway 8/Germanton Road. Farm is 6 miles on right at Buffalo Creek Farm Road. From North Wilkesboro / Boone Take US421S to US52N to Exit 114. Turn left at end of ramp and travel north on NC Highway 8/Germanton Road. Farm is 6 miles on right at Buffalo Creek Farm Road. From Wytheville, VA Take I77S to I74E to US52S to Exit 118. Turn left at end of ramp and travel east on Highway 65. At stop sign, turn right on NC Highway 8/Germanton Road. Farm is 300 feet on left at Buffalo Creek Farm Road. From Walnut Cove / Danbury / Lawsonville and Stuart, VA Take NC Highway 8 South thru downtown Germanton. On the south end of Germanton, Highway 65 turns to the right. Stay on NC Highway 8/Germanton Road. The farm is 300 feet on left at Buffalo Creek Farm Road.
